Well, Being Gay is Disgusting is a book written in jest, as you should well know by this point. Granted, though, the Good Book does condemn gayness, and the individual in this video has a, shall we say, 'traditional' view of the biblical notion of homosexuality. I'd wager that with the exception of a very small minority of people, this video will likely offend - even those who voted yes on Proposition 8, I suspect.

But people! How can you reject someone's views merely because they follow biblical passages more strictly or more loosely than yourself, hmm? This is what you get for having a book that says everything in lots of different ways. People will often find the passages that support their own morality, and they'll run with it.

For those of you who are blind, deaf and have been under a rock since 2007, California collectively voted in favour of a ban on same-sex marriage on the same day that the country voted in its first black president.

Let me put the day into perspective for you: There were several "propositions" on the ballot:

• Proposition 9 increased the rights of victims of crime by allowing them more involvement in the different phases of the criminal justice process;
• Proposition 5 increased the rights of non-violent drug offenders by loosening their parole restrictions;
• Proposition 2 increased the rights of farm animals being bred for food by increasing the minimum required size of the cages in which they lived; and
• Proposition 8 reduced the rights of same-sex couples by removing their legal right to marry.

This video is one of the advertisements that was aired in the lead-up to the vote, and the list below addresses some of the main headings discussed in the ad. I can't take credit for this top-10 list, so if you know who wrote it, please let me know.

10. Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyglasses, polyester, air-conditioning and Spam.

9. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay. You know, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall, or hanging around black people will make you black.

This young lesbian talks about a New-Testament chapter that I had yet to read. In Romans 1:21-27, we are taught, through the inerrant Word of God, that God will make you totally gay-bones for each other if you don't worship him. This includes women, too, in what I think is the only chapter where lesbians are specifically mentioned.

I know. Being gay is a choice.
     It's unnatural.
          It's against God.
               Homosexuality doesn't even exist!

Anyway, here is a composite of a few clips that Sir David Attenborough seems to have left out of his documentaries.

They show several of God's creatures, not being gay, of course, because that doesn't exist. They're simply dealing with some homosexual tendencies and rebelling against their Creator, through the act of anal sex. Viewer discretion is advised.
